11 Home decor ideas that you must incorporate into your house:
1. Botanicals:
Incorporating flowers and plants in the house is one of the most timeless, natural, and refreshing home decor ideas. They add a natural touch to your house as well as help in keeping the indoor air clean. These potted plants are a magic work to your house as they bring nature inside and help you remain grounded.
One of the factors that you have to be careful about is to make sure that you keep them away from your bed and if you keep them around your bed, do not forget to make them insect-free. It is not always about decorating your house, it is also about taking all the precautions necessary to implement your desires.
2. Cozy Corner Space:
Do not take it for granted. A lot of houses prefer to keep only the basic things like bed, couch, etc. These little spaces that you create can give you vast exposure in a small house. You might feel it’s the same place and it won’t bring much difference, but these spaces take you to a different world in the same house.
Have you ever tried to sleep on the other side of the bed, or have you ever tried to change the direction of your bed? Didn’t you ever notice a change in mood as if you have taken your body to a different place entirely?
These mini and cozy corner spaces in the house bring you to a different perspective in your mind when you feel too tired being in the same space all the time.
3. Bookshelves:
You might say, ‘I don’t read’, but it truly doesn’t matter. Books are something that every literate person read in their lives at some point. You’re out of the habit probably because you never got such surroundings. You now must surround yourself with a bookshelf and keep at least some books for starters that might intrigue your attention. Even just a magazine will do. But keep a bookshelf and the rest of the job will be done by itself.
If you’ve already read it, then I need not to convince you, you’re already on the right path.
4. Incorporate Art pieces:
Well, art brings beauty to a space. Art is not a thing of the rich, it is created for every soul on this earth. Art mostly comes from the heart and the heart is the gateway to meeting the almighty. When you buy an art piece, you also take the communication that was done while it was in the making, and that communication is an interaction with a higher power for real. That communication and the vibe enters your house too and spreads everywhere bringing positivity and purity.
So, do not hesitate to invest in one. It doesn’t have to be a costly one, but use your wisdom to identify the real art from the art that is being painted for a business perspective solely.
The picture mentioned above is one of my paintings and in my defense, I also paint when my heart wants me to, never otherwise. You can check out my portfolio, and if you like one, ask for a quote price at art@saritanakradesigns.com.
5. Gallery Wall:
Another factor that brings vibrance and activity into your house is creating a gallery wall. You can make it in the living room, your bedroom, and even your bathroom, just make sure that you keep it relatable with the space you’re putting it in. A gallery wall is an effective way to showcase special memories. Mix it up with mini mirrors, photos, artwork, and some quirky wall decor elements.
- Measure the space.
- Try different arrangements on the floor before you end up with one.
- Take a picture of it.
- Refer to the picture and keep putting it on the wall one by one.
This gallery wall can make a huge difference to your space, it tells a story for you, so, do not let that story go wrong, it is your only chance in your house.
6. Earthy Elements:
We all prefer to have a table in the house and it is mostly wood. But you don’t have to involve wood to have the appearance of wood in the house. You can use earthy and woody tones to give it a forest-like display. Earthy elements if one of our favourite home decor ideas as they help one stay grounded and never make you feel trapped under 4 walls. It adds a touch of natural warmth to your surroundings.
Go for tones like burnt sienna, yellow ochre, and burnt umber on your tables, couches, bedding, walls, and any place you want a forest or nature-like transformation.
7. Subtle tones:
Choosing a neutral color palette for your walls, such as white or subtle tones, provides a timeless and versatile background for your decor. Light-colored walls create an illusion of spaciousness and allow other elements in the room to shine.
If you get bored too easily, these subtle tones will save a lot of money for you. You only have to change the moving elements in your house and your house becomes all new.
This is one of the home decor ideas that you MUST implement to feel freedom when carrying out the rest.
8. Rug for your home decor:
A well-chosen rug can tie the entire room together, providing both visual interest and a cozy feel. Go for a rug that complements the color scheme and style of your space, whether it’s a bold pattern or a solid, textured option.
You can go for a geometric pattern, a plain one, or, a floral, abstract, or even traditional print, all these will look good depending on your taste and the theme that you finalize.
9. Wall Mural:
This is again an art piece but it doesn’t have to have a similar purpose of art. You can only get it done to beautify any wall in your house. Choose the design according to your own will and look for a muralist who can do it for you.
