Kareena Kapoor In Lehenga By Lo Stilista – “The Indian Fashion Blog”

A bit late on highlighting this but this woman took my breath away with her so gorgeous bridal looks! Kareena Kapoor in Lehenga!!!! Kareena never failed to look stunning in a bridal look, just like this time in “Veere Di Wedding”. I love her outfit which is designed by Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla.

The glamorous embellished yellow lehenga with pearl tassels on the off shoulder sleeves is something new and fresh to look up to. However, what amazes me is that it’s not really a newly designed outfit! It has come from Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla’s vintage collection. This lehenga is 25 years old!!!! Can you buy that? As I mentioned earlier as well in one of my posts, fashion has no specific definition and stays no more still. It keeps changing, and it’s the creativity at the end of the day that matters and so what the designers did for the outfit. One of my favorite designers “Michelle Lesniak” also inspires me with her creativity just like this outfit does!

In a story shared on social media, Sandeep explained, ”Veere’s wedding garment is actually a vintage garment of Abu Sandeep. It’s something that we made 25 years ago. It was lying in our coffers…Rhea came to the factory and we started digging out a whole trunk and taking out old pieces. So then, we just reinvented it. The skirt remains the same. The blouse remains pretty much the same. Of course, it was altered to Kareena’s size. Then we created a dupatta and just modernized it slightly. At the wedding time (in the movie), everybody is in AJSK vintage, which is great fun.’‘ – India Today

The hair accessory on her boho braids must already be added to many girls’ wish-list now who are getting hitched soon. With the minimalist but the most soothing makeup, she rocked the reel-wedding stage. I’m filled with awe witnessing her pearl necklace along with the basic red bindi she wore. And the dupatta she carried is something I feel is taking us back to where we started though! It is made of a “plant” called “baby’s-breath” that is normally used in wedding decors. Kareena has really gone green! 😛
