How To Decorate A Candle At Home By Lo Stilista “The Indian Fashion and Lifestyle Blog”

My interest in fashion was developed after many years of spending my childhood as the most tomboyish girl. I’ve never been so girly all my life. But the trait of experimenting and wanting to do something different with everything stayed all along with me. Hence, my other interests used to be some home decor DIYs. I used to try making things which would look as if I bought them from the market when originally, they weren’t. Things like greeting cards, wall hangings, wall decor etc. I never got into it so deep to grow my passion into same and that’s how it ended one day.

In the midst of re-furnishing my house, I was confronted once again with my inner playful child that used to try turning things to unique from basic. The child who used to try to decorate as much as possible and bring color to the dull in minimal amount possible. I can’t explain how happy I became after coming across my own self once again. Sometimes, I feel I shouldn’t have aged after 10 or 15. Life till that age is real, playful, creative, and satisfactory.

Hence, I came up with this small DIY on how to decorate a candle at home which had nothing much to do but looks like I’ve purchased it from outside for quite a penny. It’s not the only thing the appearance of which tried to manipulate, I’ll share the rest with you all too soon. Trust me guys, these are just a little bit of tasks to make sure your ordinary doesn’t look much ordinary and yet it’s priced nominally and different from what others possess.

The candle I worked on was a normal scent candle which I got from Khan Market a few months back but didn’t use it much as my house was not settled enough. But now, after finishing up with the basic set up in some areas of the house, I have taken some time out to work out on its decor. Hence, this lace candle has come into existence and the idea to share it with you all.

How To Decorate A Candle At Home?

Well, for particularly this design, you need…

  1. A Lace of your choice

  2. Silicon glue

  3. Floral appliques

  4. And of course, a Candle

All I did was place some silicon glue on one end of the lace and pasted that end on the top of the candle from where I started wrapping it all over. Always make sure to leave no gap until it reaches the other end of the candle. Then, I placed some glue and tucked it on the candle completely. The only accessories I had to accessorize the candle at that moment was these floral appliques. Hence, I pasted them onto the candle in a diagonal pattern (you do it the way you like). And, tadaaa, my cute pretty lace candle is ready to be slayed.

This was the simplest design I could think of after I was confronted with my long forgotten interest. And, as my first DIY project, I didn’t do much of the hustle and tried to experiment as plain as I could. As it went successfully well, I’ve tried a few more decor practices which would be up soon on my blog. Until then, you can transform all your candles into a unique decorative piece in your house.

Use your creativity guys, you can get a lot of accessories out there in the art and craft or stationery stores. Just go visit one nearby your house or the one I visited which had always been my favorite since I came across such a huge store. I’ve mentioned all the details below.
